Members shadowshocker Posted July 1, 2008 Members Share Posted July 1, 2008 Hello everyone, Sort of off topic but, I want to try setting up my equipment in a different way, and I'm looking for some ideas. Here's what I have to work with... Akai MPCKeyboardGuitarEffects PedalsMixer with 12 inputsVCR Currently I have the MPC, Keyboard, and Guitar going into the mixer then everything going through the effects pedals and into the computer. But I'm becoming unsatisfied with this setup. So what other options can I setup everything? I want it easier to sample things before putting them into the computer, so the computer would be the last step in recording. Some way of utilizing the MPC and VCR so I can just keep on recording between the two... Basically so I can create little melodies and beats, then send them through the effects and into the VCR, then send them back to the MPC and resample everything over and over. I just have no idea what how to use the Mixer in this setup. It has Tape inputs and outputs (RCA jacks) which I suppose I'd use for the VCR, but how do I get it back to the MPC?
