adding tap tempo to Boss PS-3?

does anyone know of a way to add tap tempo to a PS-3's delay modes?

 

I absolutely love the delay on the PS-3, and have yet to find another delay that can replicate it exactly. I just wish it had tap tempo though.

Nah, it's probably damn near impossible, or just too complex of a mod to do especially if it's SMD.

it's simple really

-figure out the minimum and maximum delay time values of the pedal

-attribute those times to a degree value (in relation to the 'time' knob's min+max position)

-build a robotic arm/knob turner that interprets the times between "taps"

as degree values, and turns the knob as such.
