Members rpowell5656
Anybody know/have ideas on how Styx "Fooling yourself" gets such a huge sound on the synth solos? Is it a delay/echo unit, or does that sound come out of the box like that? I noticed a similar thing on some Genesis songs around the same time. Members mate_stubb
Oberheim 4-voice, actually. I'm thinking of the synth solo with just drums and bass behind it. Monophonic, lots of glide and a classic Mini sound, not the polyphonic Obie stuff elsewhere in the song. The OP was asking about the solos. Members augerinn
THe VST OP-X has 2 presets callsd Styx or something, one for each of the soloes. It pretty much nails the sounds. DDY used an Obie.
