Members orange worker
i started a new group, forming from the ground up. these were just jams that we recorded with some binaural mics, so excuse the {censored}ty mix. any input is appreciated. setup is 2 guitars with pogs/octavers & drums. we just switched on and off bass as we felt like the songs needed it. i don't know what we're really aiming for, since no one wants to sing this was our 2nd jam. my rig = mj montana > board > vox ac4 half stack (not loud enough!) other guitarist = ibanez pointy kayzer model > boss me-50 (i think) > kustom amp moving parts (in beating hearts): http://soundclick.com/share?songid=9493499 letting lions slave: http://soundclick.com/share?songid=9493597

Members orange worker
thanks, i agree, lots of potential. this was all improv just feeling each other out but i'm pleased with the results
Members Poltergeist
keep it's base, just improve it with more overall finesse and fill the holes. you'l have a hell of track. the first track souns, imo, like nothing, in a bad way. Members ChuckNorris1982
I'd guess whoever played lead on the first track is a big Billy Corgan fan. Second track was a million times better. Need bigger amps!

Members orange worker
i'm a huge corgan fan but was playing the bass in the first song, funny how things come across. the other guitarist is into rush & floyd. thanks for the feedback

Honestly, the second track has tonnes of potential. But if you want to replace bass guitars with Pogs/octavers, remember that for every 100 watt guitar amp, the bass player is running through a 400 watt equivalent. Lower frequencies take more power to reproduce at the same volume, and there was very little bass audible in either track.
Members orange worker
yeah, im gonna bring a bigger amp so we can both turn it up. the mics have a bass roll-off too so that probably took away a bit of the lowend.
