Members Trashbag_Travis
I have a Lollar Special T in my Erksquire and I really dig it - lots of different tones just from the volume knob. It gets almost into P-90 territory at full up, dial it back a bit and it's Broadcaster, a little more and it's '60s twang sounds. Great pickup. You and I have the same style. love the glendale as well-that bridge/saddle/pickup combination is killer.
Members Fender&EHX4ever
I've heard good things about them. Just make sure their non-magnetic. I would like to get compensated bridge saddles for my Tele. I've got the normal barrel type. I just got a reply from Bill at Hipshot, and their bridges are indeed non-magnetic So there it is. I'm going to try out the the Bill Lawrence and Hipshot combo, which should run me less than $150 together I really like the idea of going hot and noiseless. Thanks for all the suggestions, GUYS As time goes along, I'll probably try out many of these other suggestions just for the fun of tone exploration. Members bygones
Anybody try the Dimarzio Twang Kings? I want some new pickups for my '69 Thinline RI. I've got them in my tele. They're very rounded off, not as trebley. Still sound okay, good response.
