Members born2die75
Thee wiimote has a motion sensor for yaw pitch and roll also force applies and it can communicate over bluetooth or infrared via an infrared receiving bar that can be bought from most electronic shops. So with some programs off the net you can control your oft synth daw etc is this the future I wonder. Crazy explantation here using a doepfer modular system and a midi to cv thingy Tris

Members brzilian
this is totally hot...does anyone know of any online tutorials that would help me do this in Ableton Live? Its really easy on a Mac. All you need is OSCulator which lets you assign WiiMote sensor output to standard MIDI notes and CCs: http://www.osculator.net/wiki/

Members girevik
I remember when this was first announced months ago, initial reaction was "goddamn, I can't afford a friggin' Kyma!". I'm sort of interested though in how a Wiimote + OSCulator setup compares to a Buchla Lightning. The latter of course is a more mature product but I don't recall OSC being part of the deal there. Members BonsoWonderDog
That's horrible.......no better than a theremin. I love the idea of a tactile controller, but it has to produce music, not crap.
