Members louloomis
Hi. I am new to midi. I am trying to configure my PC-based midi sequencing software ins/outs to suit my needs, but I am clueless about the missing piece(s) or how to hook them up. Can you help me? So far, I have: 1. 1-in-1-out midi interface to my PC2. A midi in/out/thru capable rackmount synth brain (Yamaha TG-77)3. A midi synth keyboard which has only in/out (I think). This I have been using as my controller, but I plan to also buy another midi controller (for what that fact is worth). This is a Roland Juno 106.4. I plan to get another midi controller (velocity sensitive) to include in the midi setup, so please factor that into your response. Primarily, though, I want to be able to record midi tracks into my sequencer and have these tracks played back by either and/or both #2 above and #3 above. Do I need a midi interface for my PC with more I/O? Or a midi patchbay or both? How do I wire all this stuff up, midi-wise? Thanks. Please advise. Thanks.LL
Members soundwave106
You can use this setup, for now: MIDI interface out -> Juno 106 inJuno 106 thru -> TG77 inTG77 thru -> MIDI Interface in andMIDI interface in When you get the second keyboard, you may possibly need another interface (depending on whether you want independent control of both keyboards at the computer level or not)...
