Members guitapick Posted July 31, 2011 Members Share Posted July 31, 2011 Hi. I just got my Leprechaun board and setting up my signal chain. The chain, at this point, will be: compressor/distortion/od/chorus/reverb/Boss dd3/Strymon El Capistan with favorite switch.(I put El Cap last because I like the "sound on sound" feature and don't want to change the tone of past repeats when I activate a new pedal) I've got a tc electronic preamp pedal. No "on/off"...it will always be on. Everything I hear places it first in the chain, before the compressor. I'm just wondering about this, as it would seem to make sense to put it at the end of the chain in order to boost and re-color the signal portion that's been lost. Any takes on this?
