MIDI controller and sampler

Hi,

 

I'm currently looking to expand my music equipment. Right now I'm specifically looking for a 49 or 61 key MIDI controller with NON-weighted keys to use for complex solos. Knobs and sliders aren't important, but a few would be nice. What would you guys recommend?

 

Also - has anyone had any experience with old Akai samplers like the S-2000? Obviously it's not the latest and greatest, but I might pick one up to play around with.
