Members turnitto11
Are there any fuzz face type sounding pedals out there that don't care if they have a buffered pedal in front of them? Or know of any mods to make a fuzz face not sensitive to buffers? Thanks

Members Chugs
It is possible. If I make a Fuzz face type fuzz I always buffer the input, and output, so that it will work with other buffered pedals. You can mod existing Fuzz Faces the same way too. Add a buffer to the fuzz itself followed by a small series resistor, say 4.7K to the base of the first transistor. Add in a little high end filtering and you are good to go. Members H.R. Shove and Stuff
My Lunar Module doesn't seem to mind buffers. That's because it is already buffered. Buffer the fuzz so it doesn't mind buffering.

Interesting, thanks for the info! Any buffer circuits your recommend? And thanks for the info on the LM and the Classic108!
Members percyexpat
Zvex Mastotron should do well after a buffer.
Members Chugs
I prefer opamp buffers generally but a Jfet buffer will do the trick quite nicely too. Can you read schematics? I can send you some buffer schematics.
