Members ripe
I was trying to recreate some of my DX100 patches on the FS1R manually, which is a pain in the first place. I looked at converting the DX100 sysex to DX7 format and then loading into the FS1R, but couldn't find the converter. Anyways I had already loaded the DX100 patches into a DX200 using FM7 to "translate", so I tried using the DX200 PC editor. (I no longer have FM7 to try with the FS1R) I uploaded the patch into the editor, then downloaded it into the FS1R, successfully! Only a few parameters needed tweaking, like the EG decay and the PAN settings, and effects. I was surprised it was that easy! Hope this comes in handy for someone else. cheersripe
Members flowthrough
Great find ripe! - thanks for sharing this I guess the DX200 PC editor must send the data in a 'mostly' DX7 sysex format (an assumption based on the fact that the FS1r is supposed to be able to receive DX7 single voice data).
