This follws on from the 'Would you buy a 2-manual Nord Stage?' thread that got hijacked by some naughty pussies.

So having realised that I've gotta carry a rack for my power amp, carrying rack modules and midi controller keyboards became a possibility, and with due consideration to distance between the lower and upper keyboards, size and weight, stage footprint, and having no easy access to controls on the lower keyboard, I'm now using this:

Studiologic VMK-161 plus (weighted keys version)

CME u-key mobiletone (yes you read right)

NIB4d drawbars

Weight about 20kg - a little less than the S90es I was using, packs into one bag as is. This is what I wanted the Nord C1 to be: Stage engine, weighted lower manual, unweioghted upper manual, real drawbars, with the sounds here provided by a FantomXr (with sampled piano and SRX-11 rhodes) and an EMU-B3. If I'm to be playing alot of solo jazz piano I can drag out my Kawai MP9500 and set it up instead of the Studiologic. For rock I can just have the missing keyboard octaves on the CME.
