Members smudge_lad
I've recently bought an Egnater Tweaker 40 head and the past couple of rehearsals I've been working out the bet way to set it all up. I've moved my m5 into the Fx loop, from being out front of my last amp, and now all Te delays sound {censored}! It's a series FX loop, so don't expect the sounds to be all muddy, but one of the delays I've been usin for over a year, now sounds so terrible! Can hardly make out anything I'm playing. Anybody any ideas why this might be? I also use a phaser and reverb on the unit, and they both sound fine?
Members Lanefair
Is it just a levels issue? The wet signal might come out much louder in the fx loop. Does the pedal have line and instrument level settings? When I switch my timefactor to the wrong level in the loop it sounds awful.
Members Lanefair
P.s. if a phaser sounds fine then the unit probably isn't clipping in the loop...
Members ambient
Of course, a pedal moved from in front into a loop may have to have any eq/tone controls reset. Thinks like hi/lo pass filters on the delay repeats may sound different. Also you might find a different voicing/delay type works better.
