Tubescreamer tone mod question

I want to mod my TS clone for more bass, but there seems to be two ways to mod it. One is:

Change the .047uf tone stack cap for a higher value.

But I've also seen people say to make the 22n input cap larger.

I want to put this mod on a switch, but not sure which one to do. Is one more common than the other?

Do you mean the 0.047 in the R/C filter? I usually up that one to 0.1uF (0.22uF if I also increase the gain by lowering the 4.7K to 2.2K), and use the 0.047uF in place of the 0.022uF input cap. Replacing the input cap doesn't make a huge difference, but it doesn't hurt either. And the 0.047uF is free... smile.gif
