Members dcooper830
So I got a Zoom G3X yesterday and I was really enjoying it... effects sound great... unit looks great... very user friendly.... But then when I hooked up a footswitch to tap tempo delays .. I was very disappointed to find that all I can do is either mute input or "hold" the delay repeats. How incredibly stupid is that??? Why would they not include tap tempo control of delay?? Am I missing something? I'm thinking about contacting them and demanding a firmware update to make this possible. Has anyone else with a G3X noticed this?
Members chrisjnyc
I was able to get a basic latching footswitch working as a tap tempo. Did you change the settings, and set the control for a tap tempo? There is a thread on TGP about using a splitter to hook up both a tap temp and a exp pedal. If you can solder, Ashbass has a good thread on building an external tap and drum machine on and off switch. I have said this a few times... The G3 is great for bedroom players, and super cheap for all the options and tones you get, but its not very gig friendly.
Members dcooper830
I have it set so the external footswitch controls TAP TEMPO... but it still has no effect on delay time. I've gotta be missing something....
Members chrisjnyc
I think you need to move the delay time past the max time, and you can use the tap tempo...
