Members MickeyKeys
I've been gigging with my new band for about two months now, and everything goes thru the PA. I'm loving it, but here's my dilemma: I have no experience in that area. Sheesh. What I'm currently doing is: Plugging my boards (Alesis QS7.1 and Roland RD700SX) into a KB combo amp, which I use to monitor my sound, and running the amp's line-outs to the PA. This seems to work OK, but I'm not sure I'm getting an entirely accurate idea of where the keys are in the mix. What I think might work better is: QS--->direct box --->PA, and then running one or both of the twin XLR outs from the RD into the PA. Now theoretically that's what they're for, but I was wondering if anyone here had any thoughts about whether they perform as advertised, and if I'd have to use both of them. Or would I sacrifice sound quality by only using one of them? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
