Yup. Billy used one on the Siamese Dream + MCIS tours. James used one on the MCIS tour.

Not as the main tone though. It was always the JMP-1.

Have you owned/played a Triaxis? I'm curious to find out how it compares to the JMP1 for the heavy stuff.

I like the tones that they (Metallica/Pumpkins) can get out of both units and I'm currently running through a Dual Recto head and my girlie rack which is basically two modded ADA MP1 preamps until I get a chance to either purchase or try out a Triaxis or JMP1...

I have a Triple Recto and a JMP-1 + Strategy 500 rack setup. The rack is by far my favorite. It's just really different sounding. I haven't had a chance to try a Triaxis but if it's anything like a Mark III i want one.

The Recto is really a massive sounding amp on stage. It's just something about that Marshall midrange going into that Mesa low end.

It took me a year to tweak mine. I couldn't trade it for a Diezel if someone offered... :(

You have to run the preamp very low and blast the power amp. The bass boost on my power amp also makes it kick harder.

Here are a few sounds i get out of it.

The only one that was done in a real studio is the Vysion song.

What about the VH4? :)

Yeah, that's exactly what I mean/like in terms of that Marshall tone with the Mesa low end.

Well see I've heard similar things, but I just haven't had the chance to actually put either to the test. And BC here has some KILLER JMP1 clips with just crushing tones. ...maybe get both :p

I have a 10 space rack waiting for a switching system and Triaxis to go with the other 2 units.

The VH4 is my dream amp but the JMP-1 and Strategy 500 are here to stay. I've been using them for almost 3 years and it's just my sound now.
