I like the tones that they (Metallica/Pumpkins) can get out of both units and I'm currently running through a Dual Recto head and my girlie rack which is basically two modded ADA MP1 preamps until I get a chance to either purchase or try out a Triaxis or JMP1... MJ I have a Triple Recto and a JMP-1 + Strategy 500 rack setup. The rack is by far my favorite. It's just really different sounding. I haven't had a chance to try a Triaxis but if it's anything like a Mark III i want one. The Recto is really a massive sounding amp on stage. It's just something about that Marshall midrange going into that Mesa low end.

It took me a year to tweak mine. I couldn't trade it for a Diezel if someone offered... You have to run the preamp very low and blast the power amp. The bass boost on my power amp also makes it kick harder. Here are a few sounds i get out of it. The only one that was done in a real studio is the Vysion song. http://www.pillforkids.com/Vysion%20-%20Come%20And%20Rise.mp3 http://www.pillforkids.com/ratm.mp3 http://www.pillforkids.com/myownsummer.mp3 http://www.pillforkids.com/petsample.mp3 http://www.pillforkids.com/aicsolo.mp3 http://www.pillforkids.com/onestep.mp3

Yeah, that's exactly what I mean/like in terms of that Marshall tone with the Mesa low end. MJ

Well see I've heard similar things, but I just haven't had the chance to actually put either to the test. And BC here has some KILLER JMP1 clips with just crushing tones. ...maybe get both MJ
