Members colejustesen
I was looking at the Engl Fireball and it has a couple different output selections. Also I was looking at the Avatar cabinets, where you can choose what ohm to run the cabinet in. What I want to know is What is the best ohm rating to run a single 2x12 cabinet in? Are there any differences in sound/tone between different ohms? Is is best to run your head with the least resistance? Thanks Cole
Members SuperStrat
I don't know if any impedance is "better" than another, you should try to figure out what your rig will be and plan accordingly. I usually like 8-ohm 2x12 speaker cabs, my reason is that the individual speakers will be 16-ohm which would work better if I ever pick up a 4x12 and want to swap speakers around. YMMV....
