Members pink floyd cramer
It was bundled with a Yamaha MM6 I bought a while back. Is it worth the effort to learn or should I hold out for the more full-fledged version? Thanks.
Members Cygnus64
Is it worth the effort to learn I would mess with it and see if you like the platform and the layout. My MM6 was purchased earlier and came with Cubase LE. I found it to be a little too crippled to judge Cubase, hopefully your version is a little more complete. Members kpatz
I use the AI4 that came with my Motif XS. It's complete enough for my needs, but then I don't even know what it's missing compared to the full version.
Members NuSkoolTone
It's a nice intro to cubendo, but you'll want more if you do anything serious. Limited tracks (Which is simply a software limit purposely done), limited import abilities if you want to bring in projects done in other versions of cubase/nuendo. If you're used to using high end DAWS, you're sure to end up frustrated sooner or later. But hell, for free pretty damn good!
Members mildbill
Whatever you learn with it will transfer up, and make the transition easier.
Members P321
Some VST's act as hosts themselves, which means you can probably get around a lot of the limits without much effort. There's a comparison chart somewhere on the Steinberg site I'm sure. I'd say 90% of Cubase users could actually use the next version down and never notice the majority of the time. Just be aware that Steinberg assumes all of its users are thieves and often treats them like filth. If you're ok with that then jump in
