Members Rayneman
I've had my Bogner Ecstasy 101A on all morning, sometimes playing, sometimes justing sitting idle while I go and do something. So, all of a sudden the volume drops significantly and this pretty loud hum starts. I rush over to find that the two leftmost tubes (Svetlana 6L6GC) are glowing super bright red. I immediately put the amp on standby and then shut her down. This amp has never had any problems, and the tubes should be well within their good working lifespan. I let it cool down and turned it on again, and all seemed well, but I'm not confortable doing anything with it. I've never had this happen before with any tube amps I've ever owned...does this sound like simply a sign for new power tubes? Thanks for any replies.
