Members Panzerfoust Posted February 9, 2006 Members Share Posted February 9, 2006 I am having volume problems with my 5150 only when the effects loop is on. I have hit the top of the amp and the volume increases. I'm guessing it's a premp tube that drives the loop. Does anyone know, when looking at the back of the amp are the preamp amp tubes V1-V4 left to right or right to left? Looks like V3 is for the effects loop per the 5150 schematic I have. I guess out of 5 preamp tubes 3 won't matter if it's left to right or right to left. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Members JerryP Posted February 9, 2006 Members Share Posted February 9, 2006 The way the tubes are labeled on the schematic don't go in order like you see them in the amp. The 4th tube from the right is for the loop. The ribbon cables that connect the main board to the preamp board can have poor connections too.
