Members Uze Soap
I need a tube amp that's around $400 and has maybe 50W or so. I'm looking at the PV ValveKing but it's out of stock right now. Any other recommensations, or is the PV the best?

Members Uze Soap
Okay. I'm looking for a good tube tone that has decent gain but it doesn't have to be crushing cause I'm gonna also get a Bad Monkey. I'd basically just looking for good tone. Solid clean with big sound, I guess.

Members Uze Soap
I can only find it for $600, and that may be too much right now. Do you know how the Peavey sounds?
Members Catfish-Killa
Do yourself a favor and check out a mid 80s peavey encore. 65 watts and sounds great at any volume. One of the best plug and play amps I have ever heard.

Members itcamefrom1984
For under $400, get the Valveking or shop for a used Peavey Classic 30 or Classic 50 Combo. They're all just fine.
Members BAZGUITARMAN
+ 1 for the Peavey Valveking or maybe a used Classic 50. Eric

Members Uze Soap
I don't like Ebay. Maybe I'll just get the PV ValveKing 212. Or would a Classic sound way better? How do they sound?

The classic has warmer cleans in my opinion & the gain goes to classic rock/hard rock. The valveking is a little more chimey on the clean channel & the gain can go to metal. I think the consensus is the classic 30 benefits more from a speaker upgrade than the valveking. The valveking has a few more features & is a little more versatile.
