i'd go for the fender HRD then. it takes pedals very well

On this forum is the best place. There is a certain family atmosphere that permeates this forum. These guys are always dealing with each other and you hardly ever see a sour deal.

 

Evilbay is a good place if you can deal with strangers.

I wouldn't say either is better, but different. The classic has warmer cleans in my opinion & the gain goes to classic rock/hard rock. The valveking is a little more chimey on the clean channel & the gain can go to metal.

 

I think the consensus is the classic 30 benefits more from a speaker upgrade than the valveking. The valveking has a few more features & is a little more versatile.
