Members zonk222
OK, guys.I've been getting a bit of an education about organ sound modules - and it looks like it's coming down to the Hammond XM-2 (with the drawbar accessory unit) and the Roland VK-9M. Please let me know your thoughts about these two modules. Also - Do the modules come with a pedal switch to turn the Leslie effect on and off - or do we have to purchase such a switch separately? Thanks for your opinions!
Members XK-S -> 3300
I don't know anything about the Roland, but the XM-2 is basically an XK-1without the keyboard. It doesn't come with a footswitch, but any small momentary switch will work. It does have buttons on the XMc-2 to control the speed as well as other functions like C/V, Percussion, Overdrive etc. as well.
Members kevinkeyes
I have know a guy who owns this model..and he says its perfect except authenticity gets a little off with the higher register of the keyboard...he has a footswitch for the leslie...i just got a nord stage and it is INCREDIBLE! good luck and "ride the power" with those Hammond Sounds. Members akapuli
I use an Oberheim OB3^2, cheaper alternative than those two, but just as good sounding IMHO.
