Members BrassMonkey
So I have a 1992 that has low volume. I'm not talking whisper low but probably half of what it should be (I have a 1959 to compare). Also, there doesn't seem to be much highs in this amp either. Any simple suggestions I can try myself? Thanks in advance.

Members hournegative
Is the volume low on both the clean and dirty channels? I'm not sure if this is a channel switching amp you are having problems with. Anyways, I had a similiar experience with a channel switching Marshall a few years ago where my dirty channel was playing at about half the volume it should be but the clean channel was fine. I swapped the pre-amp tubes around and the clean channel went to half volume. So, then I bought a new set of pre-amp tubes and the problem dissappeared. It worked for me, so just some food for thought. Later,Ray Mitchell
Members Z0S0
I've had that on my Marshall TSL 100 head before. Turns out it was the phase inverter tube (4th preamp tube) was only "half lit". Replacing that tube fixed the issue.
Members BrassMonkey
I will try again today with all different tubes from another one of my heads. With the volume at 4 or 5 and the channels jumped, this thing should be loud enough to stop elephants. Right now, it would only stop squirrels. Thanks for the suggestions. Members cap'n'crunch
Never heard of that model number. What is it?
Members bluesboy
as already mentioned, change your power tubes. Makes sure you're using a speaker cable between head and speakers... also, make sure no pedals low on battery juicew are killing your signal. What kind of speakers are you using?
