Members colejustesen
Hey guys, I have an ESP MH-1000 with and EMG 85/60A setup. I was thinking of switching them out to a Seymour Duncan Distortion/Jazz combo. If I remember correctly I will need different tone and volume pots and probably a new jack input. Is this correct? If so, what type do I need? I think it will be pretty sweet, the Distortion sounds great through an Engl Fireball. I would appreciate any input. Thanks in advance! Members nrarocks
You will need new pots and a new jack, I think the standard pots are like 500Kohm but I'm not really a tech head so I would wait for some more responses. Seymour Duncans are sweet tho, I love them.

Members colejustesen
What would be the best type of pot to get? I was looking at the Dimarzio website and they have 250K, 500K, and 1 Meg. I guess I don't know which would be the best to use. Thanks for the input! Members Shask
Traditionally, Single Coils get 250K, and Humbuckers get 500K.1 Meg was a mod for those with Humbuckers that like the EXTRA bright
Members colejustesen
I have found some 1 Meg linear taper pots, how do these compare to 1 Meg V-Taper pots? Also, where did you get those pots at? Thanks. Cole
Members burnthiscorpse
my pot came from my local tech who sometimes works on my guitars. he just had them in stock i dunno beyond that. i didnt notice any brightness. all i noticed is on the volume pots 10 sounds like 10.....3 sounds like 3.....and so on. and the lower you go the nicer you clean your tone up(if your playing dirty)
