Members piper19
hi guys. My cabinet and amp need a cleaning on the outside. What products do you recommend?Especially my Orange cab has a lot of black stains on it. My amp is covered with black vinyl and has some white markings on it, most of them on the handle from fingernails and so.So is there a product that acts like shoe polish to refresh my amp? Members SGavin
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Seriously. I bought a dirty used cab and I was able to get it pretty clean with a few Magic Erasers.

Members Eye_Of_The_Liger
While we're on the subject, how do you clean the amps chassis? I recently bought an old amp head off of eBay. It works, but I looked inside the chassis one day and noticed a layer of "set-in" dust (the kind that doesn't just come off with a duster) and cobwebs and such (I think I even saw a dead spider in there too ). I ask because I don't want to just use a wet rag on electronic components, especially old ones.
Members n0fx
For cleaning vinyl/tolex I use water and amonia. Then I'll use something like mineral spirits or Kerosene.A petrol product that will slightly oil the fabric leaves itshiny and will remove some stains and scuffs.
