Members GibsonSG
I've been playing around with drumkit from hell, fruity loops, and battery. What I'm curious to know... is there an easy way to go and download a midi file of a song, yank the drum track out, and put dkfh samples over it to make easy drum backing tracks that I go record bass/guitar over? Members Shask
Its easy to do, but you would need a sequencer program to really do it (Cubase, Sonar, Logic, etc..). Of course, understanding those programs is a whole 'nother thread. Also, since DFH uses a weird mapping, it would be useful to have it mapped to a standard GM map, as most MIDI files you will find out there are done in that format... Members MidusGT
While I'm still in my first days with DFHS, it would seem fine as long as the maps match up. Copy the midi file into the midi editor of your sequencer, and if needed, remap the keys so that the proper drums play when needed.
