Members Daryl Chaney Posted April 29, 2006 Members Share Posted April 29, 2006 Hi, I recently bought a carlsbro fatboy (beast of an amp) but after about 10 minutes of playing a weird rumbling sound starting coming from the speaker. This only happens after about 10 minutes and when i tap or hit the cab it makes it rumble more, if i lean the cab certain ways it stops it completely and then it could come back. Im guessing there is a tube problem, and from the sounds it producing im guessing its the reverb tube. its an ECC2256 or something. Anyway , is it possible to play the amp without the reverb tube inserted ???????? cause if i can do this without harming the amp or speaker i can find out if the tube has failed. Thanks !
