Members Lution
I play mostly clean at about 10-11 oclock on my 40 watt Fargen Blackbird. I do not push it into overdrive. I rely on pedals for that. I'm getting ready to load a 1x12 cab for my Valve Junior Head with a Celestion G12H30 70th Ann. speaker. (also looking at other speakers... cannabis rex, greenback) I might want to plug my Blackbird into this cab every once in a while. The Fargen amp is 40 wattsThe speaker is 30 watts Will I be pushing this speaker too much? thanks -Lution

Members Murdoch
the speaker is RATED for that many watts. doesn't mean that it wouldn't be able to handle it. individual pieces react differently. however, it is a helluva guide. how loud do you typically turn up your 40w? Members Bruther_Bill72
I thought about putting a 30-watt greenback in my Marshall DSL 401 (40 watt) but a local tech told me it wasn't a good idea. Instead, I put in a Vintage 30 (60 watt) and it sounds great.
