Members ybakos
Hi, just wondering how many of you use a compressor for your keyboards during live performance, especially to fatten your sound or cut through the mix (as opposed to using it to even out the volume of different patches). Members mate_stubb
Not a big fan of compression for live use. I have one honky tonk Little Featish piano patch that I compress, but that's it.
Members The Pro
My Yamaha mixer has compression built in and I've started using it for digital piano. I just recently reviewed the Yamaha Tyros 3 for Keyboard Magazine - it has a master compression feature that really punches the sound up. I think more keyboard should have this.
