Members mildlysane
This will be its first change since I bought it a year ago. I was able to pull the chassis and get to the tubes easy enough. My question is does it (class A amp 4xel84 3x12ax7) need to be biased, or could I put in a set of matched tubes and go with it. I kinda need it and really don't want it gone awhile. If I just have to pull, plug, and play life will be sooo much easier..Please help and thanx.

Members mattburnside
Okay, I don't have a Palomino, but I do have a VC3112, and I'm under the impression that they are VERY similar in design (as in, the Palomino is a rebadged version). I found several posts on forums and newsgroups that indicated that this amp didn't need rebiasing, so I just dropped in a matched set from eurotubes. Zero problems since then, sounds great.
