Members canucker1981
Its an old RCA. The glass has a cloudy, black layer around almost the whole tube. Mostly where it meets the base/pins. But it gradually fades as it goes up. Is this tube fried? I just picked it up at a local electronics store for the hell of it.

Some RCAs had a black coating inside the tube, from the bottom to almost covering the top. I have seen Sovtek with the same thing. Should be fine.
