Members VanLaing5150
Hey guys I rarely post here, more of a lurker than anything else, but I was looking to purchase a 5150 or 6505 and was wondering if anyone had tried/owned both and knew if there ended up being a difference as to the actual sound. I know officially there is no difference, but I was wondering if Peavey changed the circut any. I used to own a 5150 II but I sold it cause I was in bad need of cash, but Im looking at an original - if anyone is in the market to sell one im all ears.... Members Megadeth7684
The brand of stock tubes and the look are the only differences.
Members The Jeff
There's one worthwhile difference... 5150s are a hell of a lot cooler.

Yeah, the 6505 looks retarded. And I hate calling them a 6505, I just say 5150 for all of them.
Members Shask
I guess it depends on if your trying to buy one, or sell one
Members VanLaing5150
i would like to buy one, that is the reason I was asking if there was any difference, if there isnt then i would be fine looking for a used 6505 but if I could score an original 5150 that would be smoking....
