Members Hulston Prickle
It's not bad, but to me it sounds more like Page Hamilton covering Van Halen. An Alnico 2 Humbucker in the bridge and a mid boost will give it more of a spongey brown tone.
Members uliroth
So, you play a VH riff thru a VHT and a VHT "does" VH?Give me a {censored}ing break.

Members * velcro-fly *
Bleh...sure the amp can do the tone... The bigger question is can YOU do the EVH ? the amp is a but a mere fraction of the equation - if yer fingers aint got the tone, you aint got the tone. Period. Period.Steve E Personally I dont wanna do the VH tone. Nor does he wanna do the Kelly tone. But that's all anyone here cares about, besides the bees-in-a-box-metal tone oh so common today. Members mentoneman
when i played the amp i thought it had some VH characteristics...raw, not really relying on tons of preamp gain, marshallistic grind i bet if soemone really went after the tone with their amp, and the proper chain, it would get really close.
