Some rig advice needed

I'm planning a rig overhaul soon, and I have some questions. I've got the guitars covered, but amp and effects are causing a bit of a headache. What I need is a tube amp, bunch of effects and something I can use to play at home without annoying the neighbours. Feature-wise these would seem to do the trick:

Peavey Valve King VK112 or VK212

Digitech Bad Monkey

Korg ToneWorks AX1500G

When played through the amp, Monkey + VK would take care of the distortion, Korg would handle only the modulation and ambience effects. When I'm playing at home, I would just plug headphones straight into the Korg and use its amp+cab models.

What I'm worried about is that will Korg screw up VK's sound when I put it in the effects loop? My impression is that it shouldn't as long as I switch the amp+cab models completely off. Also, are there any problems regarding using a multieffect unit and separate stomp boxes at the same time?

Anything else I should know before buying those? As you can see that is a budget rig, I'd rather not spend much more cash unless those have some big flaws.

Thanks in advance!
