Members bluesboy
I have been recently using a 2X12 with my univalve, and i bought another one. How do i rig them together? What should the impedence be, what plugs do i use for what, etc? Each cab has two inputs on the back
Members again with this
first, hopefully they are the same impedeance. second, they should be marked what the impedeance is and third, doesn't the map have two speaker outs? Determine impedance devide by 2 set amp outputs accordingly, rock. hope that helps.
Members bluesboy
cab 1 is 8 ohms. cab 2 is also 8 ohms. Do i just "daisy chain" them? by this i mean, speaker cable from the head, to hole one of cab1. Then another cable that goes from hole 2/cab1 to hole 1/ cab 2? so the final impedance will be 4 ohms, am i right?
Members again with this
yup. you can daisy chain and they'd be loaded down to 4 ohms. not sure how your cabs are wired, it should be safe to go with the connection series you describe. It may not matter which jack you plug into on the cabs. Does you amp have only one speaker out? why daisy chain?

Members Soulcrusher_X
If you are chaining them together, the impedance adds up to 16 ohm. 8-ohms + 8-ohms = 16 ohms.

Members again with this
Soulcrusher is very correct. Although, it really depends on how the cabs are wired. if you daisy chain it's like a series/parallel 4x12 and if you have two speaker outs, you devide like I said originally. Sorry for misleading you. Thanks for setting it straight soulcrusher. if I were you I'd contact support for your cabinets' manufacturer.

What kind of cabs do you have? Do the jacks have any labels on them?
