Plugging an effect into the send of the loop but not connecting anything to the loop return.

No, it shouldn't. What can really hurt your amp is not connecting a load to the output.

Are you setting up a wet/dry or slave rig?

No, I'm connecting a Korg Kaoss Pad 2. I already tried it but then shut it off suspecting it may do damage to the amp. Everything sounded great...I just thought I do some research to make sure. I'm was pretty sure it'd be ok...just not certain.
Anybody think I shouldn't do it?

I am hooking the kaoss up like this because the tone/volume is severely clipped/cut/colored when running:
my guitar>kaoss pad>amp input

So, I was thinking of just connecting it to the effects loop send jack....there is no effects return on the kaoss pad. Hence, my original question.
