Members joenovice
I've got an AC30CC head. It sounds great when it doesn't hum. I've tested the head at other locations and it's not the source. I think I'm dealing with a ground-loop issue. If amp is on without cable plugged in..... no hum If amp is on with cable plugged into guitar.... hum, varies based on position of guitar. If Ebtech Hum Eliminator is pluged into signal path.... hum changes but doesn't disappear unless I touch something metal like the standby switch or another 1/4 jack on my keyboard. Ebtech Hum X didn't fix the problem. If I touch the speaker cable while amp is on I can hear RF interference. AHHH!!!!!!!! This sucks..... any technical comments would help. Dumbass comments like "Dude that amp sucks" or similar keep to yourself.
Members gsus
Have tried another guitar? Probably your guitar or the guitar cable is the culprit!

Members dmk
thats not a ground loop if it change when you move your guitar about.if the humming stops when you touch something grounded then its the grounding on your guitar or cables. Members jfreaksho
Try turning off electrical equipment in your residence, one thing at a time. Start with TV's and computer monitors. Next try any lights, especially flourescents or dimmers. Fans, such as A/C or box fans, or de/humidifiers. Then start going to anything with a power supply- Computers, cellphone chargers, etc. If this doesn't work, repeat, but unplug things rather than turning them off. If this doesn't work, expand your search area. If that doesn't work, well... someone else can pipe up here.J.
