We all know that the AC15 tone is magically delicious, but the carvin is cheaper, and some of the reviews I just read said that the carvin has a Voxy feel to it. Another thing is the the Carvin's tubes are easier to change, and it has those Celestion 30s. Plus it's switchable between 5 and 16 watts or something. Members flip333 Posted September 29, 2006 Members Share Posted September 29, 2006 The Carvin vintage 16 is looking pretty nice to me. I want to be able to turn it up for power tube saturation at lower decibels. But I am thinking 15 watts is OK for gigs. I have an excellent PA, so I can get it loud enough for gigs with ~ 200 people.
