Members Sir Ricardo
Hello: I'm running Cubase 4 Studio, and have a Waldorf Q (the big yellow keyboard). My problem; when I record the Waldorf into midi, the arpeggiator gets "stuck" while I'm recording. This only happens on patches that have an arpeggiator; if the patch doesn't have an arpeggiator, the Q records with no problem. The notes sustain indefinitely. If I don't have Cubase booted up, the Q plays as it should. The moment I've got Cubase up, when I play a patch on the Q that has an arpeggiator, the patch gets "stuck." Non-arpeggiated patches work fine, even with Cubase. Any idea as to what is going on here? thanks in advance for your thoughts - Richard
Members HrastProgrammer
You probably have a MIDI loop where Q sends Arp notes to the Cubase and Cubase echoes it back to the Q ... I don't know anything about Cubase but there is probably a setting to disable echo back somewhere. Or you can disable Arpeggiator Send on the Q (Global Menu => Arpeggiator Send => Off).
