Members zakkfaerum
Hey everyone. I just traded my YCV50 today for a YCV15. This amp is awesome. I just brought it home and recorded this clip quickly. I still have to work with mic placement etc. This is played with a strat bridge pickup (single coil), and recorded with an sm57. The amp is on the overdrive channel with no boost and the gain set around 5-6. I wil post more and work on better clips. This was just a quick one to get one out there. And again, its just messing around. Thanks everyone. http://www.musicv2.com/artist/zakkfaerum

Members jazzywolf
How does it compare to the YCV50?

Well, I had the 2 amps sitting one beside the other and had the settings the same and switching back and forth. I will say that the YCV15 is much tighter and actually has a lot more bass and punch, where the YCV50 seemed to be looser and boxier sounding. It is crazy actually how much difference there was between the 2. I never would have thought. Everyone else around the store that listened in also thought the same thing and couldn't believe that it was a "15 watt" amp, hehe. The dimensions on the YCV15 are actually a bit bigger than the YCV50. About the same size but bigger front to back. I will try to post some more clips this evening. Members Hendrix95
Thanks for the clip. Sounds pretty good. Can you do one with the boost on and the clean channel when you get a chance? Is the difference in volume between this and the YCV50 noticeable?

Members zakkfaerum
Ok I will see what I can do. Since i have had this amp for almost a week now, I have realized that it kills my YCV50 on bot dirty and clean channels. I am going to get a few more clips this evening. SO keep checking. Thanks!!!
