Members Coverdale
Hey guys... I'm almost decided on the Sovtek Mig 60(
Members marshallnoise
I liked every Sovtek I heard/played. Never cared for the Red Bears. YMMV. Don't be surpised if that Mig 60 runs your Blackmore over for volume.
Members Prehistoricpain
If you wanted heavy sounds, i would say take the Redbear, but for 80s The sovtek is your ticket man. And don't underestimate the mig, it will spank your engl as far as volume goes.
Members Coverdale
Yeah, my "thing" is more like late 60's, 70's rock, and some 80's Hard Rock... So the Mig it is
Members BerkleeBill
I think they both suck, but would have recommended the Sovtek over the RedBear for you. But I have to be honest here - the build quality and components used in these amps SUCK!!! You would be MUCH better off going with a Peavey amp:- Butcher- VTM- Windsor
Members eyeball987
I owned a Mig 60 and it was sweet! I have heard a couple builders say that the Mig 60 is built a little bit better than the Red Bear too but both have some QC things inherent in them. I never had any problems with mine and I abused it pretty good. Either one should do the job. The Mig is loud as hell too! Here is a pic of one of my old rigs.
