Difference between 6550's and KT88's?

I have some 6550s and KT88s. To me the KT88s have a little better bottom end, but I don't have Golden ears like some of these guys do ...... one thing is for sure, 6550s are way cheaper than KT88s ....... :)

holy...misinformation_central batman

kt88 cost alittle more than 6550, not much though.

 

to a slightly trained ears kt88 sound very clear very deep, hi fi like.

 

6550's have more agression in them and a more present mid range, no so hifi.

 

 

this is only in my experiment with my modded DR
