Mipa winner... East west reduces prices.

So appears East west has won the MIPA award with their "dark side".

They have also reduced prices of hollywood strings by a lot. And in addition now they include "buy 1 get 1 for free".

You could probably snatch out the whole set for reasonable price now, in other words.

Let's not forget the Gear slutz drama though.

I was looking at some east west stuff. But I don't follow Gearslutz much. If there's some "drama" pertinent to a prospective buyer, can you either link it, or briefly sum it up?

Well basically there was some "posers" working for east west in a hype thread...

Anyway, the thread got deleted (wonder how east west paid for that, rofl), but there was a remake thread. But now I can't find it for some reason. Am I just imagining or does the thread exist somewhere?

Or perhaps I just dreamed it. Maybe there are some gearslut users here to clarify.

Oh there's lots to google about:

etc.

Until they get their act together and make a proper engine, they can have all the sales and discounts they want, they won't see a penny from me.

Ok, nevermind then. I'm a programmer, so I know how hard it is to write software that installs/runs well on the multitude of hardware/software configurations out there. So, I'll cut a company some slack on bugs (as long as they have a good policy on updates). But I also know to steer way clear of folks who are overly defensive/paranoid about complaints/problems, and employ some ethically questionable behavior in the way they conduct themselves.
