Members henrigates Posted February 3, 2007 Members Share Posted February 3, 2007 I found a Fender Super Twin for sale at a pawn shop, probably late 70's, for $399. The guy told me there is some stuff wrong with it, and they just want to get rid of it. The speakers have been replaced with Carvin Celestion G12-75's and are apparently the wrong ohms. It has all new tubes, i played through it, it sounded fine. He told me to come back monday to find out from the guy in charge exactly what it wrong with it. advice? should i grab it and put money in fixing it? Members Loghead Posted February 3, 2007 Members Share Posted February 3, 2007 This is an insane 180 watt beast with a deranged e.q. system, right? I imagine it is rather complex (expensive) to have fixed. If you like the way it sounds, and all its bells and whistles, then I would go for it. It's a fairly rare amp.
