i really love these guys stuff: http://folktek.com/instruments

 

some is fairly avant garde even nowadays but each instrument is hand made with usually patch points, contact plates, resonators/sound boards, etc. (although they seem to mod a lot of omnichords too)

 

they have a sample library for kontakt that i'm prolly gonna get around jan or feb

If I understand correctly, the orange one was used for the drums on both Sweet Dreams and Here Comes The Rain Again?

Here's one I almost forgot about--the Thunderchild synth. This very rare keyboard was created for Jeff Wayne's musical version of War of the Worlds. It was also supposedly available for sale in the UK.
