There's been an on going pissin' contest for years, over what type of guitar speaker is "better", ceramic or Alnico? While I do not have a preference with SS amps, both will sound fine, depending on what "type" of tone you like. I do prefer Alnico magnet speakers with tube amps. Not that a very good Celestion or Weber ceramic speaker wouldn't sound great with a tube amp? It's just that the combination of tubes & Alnico speakers has...to me....an almost magical combination that hard to beat! But being older, I remember growing up with that combo, with my fathers stereo (Pilot tube receiver & Electro-Voice speakers). That said: What speaker(s) do you use, with your tube amp?
