Members 6942
Hello people!! I picked up a 1974 10", 4 ohm ROLA ceramic speaker today. Put it in a home-built 1 x 10 cab, to use with an Epi Jr. Valve amp. It has a very large and heavy ceramic magnet, also has a smooth cone with a two inch ring (dead center) that is doped....interesting way to prevent early break-up without ribbing I assume? I wanted something with more punch and dynamic range, than my old UTAH Alnico speakers could give. The ROLA certainly fits the bill!! Damm, they made them good back then!!
