Members 6942
Thanks for the info, it is appreciated!! I put it into a home-built 1 x10 cab this morning, powered by a 5 watt Epiphone Jr. Valve amp. I gave it a test run with an AGILE AL-2000 P-90 Gold Top. Wow, it sounds really nice....especially considering its age! I should put it into a nicer speaker cabinet, as my wood-working skills will not get me my own TV show....if you catch my drift! THANKS!!! Steve
Members blueswhore
Down in Texas we have what we refer to as "graveyards" which are privately owned music stores that basicly sell junk amps and guitar guts. Alot of us down here build our own stuff due to the incredible cost of gear these days. Since I'm no Norm Abrams myself, I buy alot of cabinets at places like this. I recently rebuilt a '72 silverface super reverb and rewired it, point to point, with mercury magnetic transformers and old school viseau tubes. It screams like the vibroverb SRV used so much, and I only have $400 in it!
